Blue Ocean Strategy

A friend of mine Paul Hindo suggested I pick up the business book Blue Ocean and it was great advice again . I read the first part of the book for several hours last night and found it to be enlightening . It reminds me of changing the game which has been played by others for many years . The research that went behind the scenes to write the book is bang on and I am looking forward to leaving the Red Ocean to a Blue Ocean methodology of business . Problem in today's world , most people tell potential clients what they think they want to hear and their delivery is sometimes not as they say . Smoke and mirrors way of doing business is for some people their primary way of doing business . Blue Ocean is so far insightful and Paul was correct in saying it is a fabulous way of looking how business can be done .

Business and Sports !

' Driven from Within " by Michael Jordan is a great biography that a CEO of a corporation can read and see similarities in business and sports . Michael is a amazing individual who has laid out his life on and off the sports field . He never wanted to be average and he brought that attitude to Nike . He never wanted to dwell on negatives of his life like when his father was murdered . He was and remains a class act . He dresses to look polished and classy , no hoodie for him . He does things that others need to catch up to see his vision . He is a man of his word and a contract is something you honour . If you wish to be inspired and want to get to get a peak into MJ 's way of life this is a great read .

Success Intelligence by Robert Holden , PH.d.

I love to read books and the book I am writing is by far one of the best I have read and my good friend Hugues Boisvert said I would love it , thanks big guy . We go through life sometimes flying like eagles and other times stumbling like drunken sailors in early morning . We need to be careful what we think and stop the "Manic " flight from one thing to another with hope of being 'SUCCESSFUL " . Throughout my life , definition of success has changed and for good reason . I believe this book to be a valuable read for anyone from teenagers to anyone over age 100 !
