Professional football in Ottawa !

We are perfectly positioned to have a successful team here in Ottawa because : amateur football is one of the strongest here in all of Canada , local respected business owners , fans , and affordable entertainment to name a few reasons . I think it is time to start the complete project with the stadium and have some of the self interest groups stop waisting taxpayers money with the various tactics . We need employment and tax dollars to pay for hospitals , roads , health care , elderly , child care and a guy owning a pub on Bank street putting up latest road block is not going to give Ottawa community anything in comparison . Bring our football back and for GOd's sake start the rebuilding process now !

Losing Nortel was a huge loss for Ottawa and Canada !

Our politicians and government should be ashamed of themselves for letting Nortel go to ashes . We were quick to bail out car companies we do not even own but we let Nortel slip away into the ocean . The company was not just a bunch of fat cats making millions of dollars in salaries , it was people like you and I with families , dreams and people who supported our community . Thank you our government for giving up on yet another Canadian treasure but oh yeah you did same for aerospace . Coincidence ?

Tough Economic times can be overcome one battle at a time !

I am finding that the press is doing a good job convincing people that we are doomed . Yes these are difficult times for all of us and we need to be much more efficient while being driven to succeed . You have a choice , buy into everything you read and put your head in the sand or decide to fight each battle and never give up . You will get knocked down from time to time but decide to get up and fight !

Ottawa Business Community needs our support !

Why is it that people in Ottawa go outside our community to get product and services that are available from local companies ? I promote my local clients whenever I have an opportunity to do so . Local companies need our business to survive and thrive . After all they also spend money in the community and pay local taxes for services we all enjoy . Next time you think about buying in Toronto or Montreal take a look around in Ottawa !

Where do we go from here?

Now that elections in the USA and Canada are completed, what is next?  We the business people need to focus on improving our own organizations and by doing so we will improve our economy.  Some people chose to stick their head in the sand while others roll up their sleeves.  We live in a country of opportunity but no one will give us things on a silver platter so, let's consistently give better service, keep our integrity at the highest levels, respect our clients as well as our staff, enjoy small victories and have faith!
