Insurance is boring and expensive !

I am in the insurance planning business and I believe insurance is boring . People do not tell their friends " you should see my life insurance policy it is a beauty !" like they would about a car or something like that . I also think life insurance is expensive , if you do not have it when you need it . Do you insure your house from burning down ? Why ? House burning down has a less of a probability then disability , critical illness and life payout yet most people would not go without home insurance . Why risk ? Yes not having life coverages can be catastrophic ! I hate paying insurance premium but I like knowing nothing has been left to chance ! What about you ?

Insurance is for those that have someone they care about !

Insurance provides cash and it is that simple . When does it provide that cash ? At time of disability , after you survive a critical illness , when you need long term care and death . If you are not concerned about financial consequences caused by a condition keep your money for something more valuable . Delivering a cheque reminds me why I chose my profession . When I am able to tell a widow that she has enough money to have her son attend law school in September and that she has no financial issues I look at my profession for what it is . It has never been about making sales , attending conferences or flashing my recognition trophies . It has always been and will always be about protecting people by delivering cheques at time of disability , critical illness , long term care and death .
