I am getting tired of picking up a paper and reading articles like one this morning by Hugh Adami in the Ottawa Citizen about Good Life employees doing things to convince members about buying memberships and signing up for personal training . I do work out at Good Life and when I was approached once by a young trainer to sign up for private training I explained to her that I had a trainer at a private facility and I was not hustled. In any organization there has to be a system to monitor quality of work and delivery of services . I am certain Good Life head office did not tell their staff to tell people they will die early even though they may if they chose a unhealthy lifestyle . When are the journalist going to interview those people that have had a positive experience while working out at Good Life or any other facility . If you want a private locally owned gym there are places like : Bariatric Medical Institute 613-730-0264 ,Lorne Segal , Free Form Fitness 613-270-0501 Jean Luc Boissonneault , Inclusive Fitness 613-212-1350 Rob Mathews, Ottawa Athletic Club 613-523-1540 and others . Big gym chains can never offer you what a private gym does and that is a fact because they are made for the masses . Let's see some positive stories about people gaining value wherever they work out to encourage people to get active !
